She is 21feet long, ways an absolute tonne and takes up a whole container! She now sails the high tasman seas and will be in Auckland in time for Speedshow. Check out stand number 15 right at the entrance - she'll be there in all her glory!

The pace is picking up as we work towards Speedshow ’09 so here’s the latest news.

Speedshow 4 Kids

As mentioned in our last newsletter, the dedicated children’s area adds a whole new dimension to Speedshow and we’re absolutely delighted to welcome Roary the Racing Car to Speedshow 4 Kids!

With the popular, safe and fun Kruzin’ Kidz electric hot rods and some cool vehicles to explore, Speedshow 4 Kids will have plenty to keep younger car enthusiasts entertained.

So many fantastic cars and bikes will make an appearance at Speedshow ’09 – from beautiful classics to outright spectacular!

An awe-inspiring line-up of Bonneville racers

Alongside the world’s fastest NASCAR which set a land speed record on the infamous Bonneville Salt Flats, Speedshow ’09 pays tribute to the many Kiwis who have tackled that flat-out challenge. See Bill Ward’s Kiwi A Salt Chev-powered street roadster, Garth Hogan’s record-setting modified 1934 Ford roadster and a replica of Burt Munro’s most famous Indian motorcycle.

Historic beauties

A rare and immaculate 1926 Type 35 Bugatti (pictured) will feature alongside a 1903 Ford Model A courtesy of Ford Motor Company and a 1917 Ford Model T.

Plus much, much more ... rip-snorting V8s from the new, super popular GT1 New Zealand racing series, serious competition bikes from Konig and BSL, jet sprint boats and speedway cars old and new, to name just a few.
